Job Description:
This position will provide administrative support the Executive Director, Senior Attorney, and potentially other attorneys or compliance professionals. This position will also assist the General Counsel with certain special projects.
The position requires:
High degree of professionalism;
Excellent judgment and discretion to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters;
Exceptional document-management and organizational skills;
The ability to properly identify, analyze, catalog, and track documents;
The ability to prepare basic reports;
The ability to interact well with different levels across and outside the organization; and
High degree of motivation to handle primary workload and support other team members, as needed.
Requirements:
Highly proficient computer skills: Windows 2000, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint; and ability to learn new computer systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with attorneys and legal support staff.
Knowledge of Avon's Global Legal department and external law firms a plus.
Extremely organized and detailed oriented
Prior experience with large law firm, large legal department, or large human resourced department is required.
This position requires some independent, mature judgement, problem solving, and ability to make decisions and to shift priorities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to build relationships (internal and external).
Demonstrated ability to maintain information in the strictest of confidence with the highest levels of discretion. FJT#3225
