Job Description:
Responsible for assisting Sports Marketing managers with their day to day management of sports & events.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Communicating with the managers what is happening in the office when they are out in the field.
Support the administrative needs of managers while they're traveling.
Fulfill athlete requests when they call in and the managers are out of office - (field phone calls and inquiries, send out product, order fulfillment, organize site tours etc for the athletes, etc.).
Prepare and organize all athlete files, including managing athlete retainers (writing up the request then mailing it monthly, bonus requests and any check requests). Making sure these are current and filed according to sport.
Build relationships with the athletes to make sure all needs are fulfilled with regard to the sport appropriate product mix. Be a contact the athletes are comfortable calling when the athlete's rep is not in the office.
Develop strong knowledge of all Oakley products (eyewear, apparel, footwear and accessories) to be able to help athletes and know what works for each sport.
Data entry - athlete and event orders from input through delivery (input, allocation, shipping and tracking to the final destination).
Develop knowledge of international customs procedures and create appropriate commercial invoices for international packages.
Rx order input - develop Rx product knowledge, awareness of which product an athlete's prescription will work in, and an understanding of the actual prescription.
Enter and know how to execute Return Authorizations (RA's).
Maintain a current athlete list for each sport.
Involvement in special events and promotions. Order product, get the product to the event, and help the manager in the field.
Participate in monthly meetings to maintain a current and correct product mix in the sports marketing cage.
Attend a weekly production meeting and relay information on new products, discontinued products, etc. to the group.
Requirements:
2+ years full-time work experience in an office environment.
Administrative support experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal guidance and supervision.
Proven customer service skills.
Personable with excellent communication skills.
Enthusiasm for sports; knowledge of sports. FJT#3381
