Job Description
Chanel, Inc., a leader in the luxury goods industry, seeks an Events Manager for the Fashion Multi-Brand retail Events team to manage the planning and execution of annual events. The Manager will develop and drive analysis and strategic direction for MBR Fashion events. This position is responsible for identifying, presenting, and executing event opportunities for the benefit of the MBR Division. The primary focus is on point-of-sale matters: image, seasonal collection support, and competitive pulse. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee and manage internal and external Multi-Brand Retail Fashion Events - Plan event strategies by collection and by retailer, while partnering with the Image & Boutique Event Teams - Develop actionable strategies to strengthen the brand's event presence to the MBR Chanel client - Partner with Account Executives every season or prior to market to understand the purchase power of each retailer and how an event could benefit the client - Establish partnership with internal & external retail partners to understand the business and develop plans to support key objectives - Ability to develop new concepts and create unique experiences - Partner with visual team to develop dcor for select events - Assist ED in designing and executing client events including but not limited to, dinners, Paris experiences, market opportunities - Work with ED to leverage opportunities with PR and coordinate necessary actions (Image Events / Brand Moments) - Develop a formalized tracking method of measuring events: analyze event results with internal partners to build new strategies - Oversee all Contracts with Legal Team & work orders with Creative Team - Prepare post event recaps and ROI analysis for management distribution and internal communications - Manage all aspects of competitive intelligence for Event & Experience strategies - Assist ED or Global Ambassadrice in Styling Events & Evolution in RTW Development Manager Program POSITION REQUIREMENTS: - Creative ability to develop new ideas and event concepts - Ability to make independent decisions when organizing or managing events - Exceptional analytical ability - Budget Management - Strong problem solving, organization and follow-through skills - High technological proficiency - ability to quickly learn new systems - Excellent consultative and interpersonal skills required in order to work well with a multitude of personalities & varying skill sets - Excellent Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills, and developed presentation skills with a wide range of audiences - Strategic project management skills and ability to handle several projects at once - Knowledge of fashion business, especially the luxury sector, & the US market (geographic & demographic) - Keen attention to detail & meticulous in work output - Ability to anticipate business needs & deliver with minimal/moderate direction - A
